You are welcome to join us for any of our Christmas services and events this year:

  • Sunday 15 December
As usual, the "Friends of Saint Andrew’s Church" (FOSAC) will be hosting their village concert of carols and readings (although held in church, this is not a religious service). The event starts at 6.00pm, followed by mulled wine and mince pies. Tickets are £5 for adults, with children free (there is no need to book; tickets are available on the door).

  • Wednesday 18 December
This Advent, we are delighted to be hosting a film showing for families here at St Andrew’s. We will be showing “The Star” a fantastic re-imagining of the Nativity story, told from the perspective of the donkey! Do join us after school on Wednesday 18th December. Doors will open at 4.00pm, when we will be serving food for the children and mulled drinks for the adults. Children can enjoy a “follow the star” game in the church, before the film showing at 5.00pm. Children are welcome to bring cushions and dressing-gowns with them to be as comfortable as possible! The film will be over by 6.30pm, at which time it’s home for bedtime! This event is ideal for children aged 2-10, but parents must be present throughout. Look out for posters around the church and local area. This is a “Churches Together” event.

  • Sunday 22 December
Do join us for our Festival of Lessons and Carols, at 6.30pm. You are very welcome to attend this joyful and wonderful occasion in church.

  • Christmas Eve
In the afternoon, we will be holding our Children's Nativity Service. This popular service is one for all the family. Children are welcome to dress up (costumes are provided) and be part of this retelling of the Nativity Story. The service starts at 4.00pm in church.
Later that evening, you are welcome to join us for Midnight Mass, starting at 11.30pm.

  • Christmas Day
Do join us on this most special of days, for a said Eucharist at 8.00am, or for our main Parish Festival Eucharist at 10.00am. All are most welcome!
