NOTICES :

 

1.  WELCOME TO GUESTS AND VISITORS.  You are invited to come to the altar rail at Communion time and to receive the Priest’s Blessing even if you have not been confirmed.  Just join in with everyone else.  We invite young children to join us there also and to receive God’s blessing.  Our crèche and Young Church are operating during the 10 am service AND we have toys and play-mats set out in the Church Room for babies and the very-young.  Help yourself!

2.  WE INVITE VISITORS AND GUESTS IN THE CONGREGATION TO THE CHURCH ROOM FOR REFRESHMENTS after the 10 am Sunday service.

3.  The Daily Office of the Church is said Monday-Friday in St Andrew’s Church.  All are welcome to come and join in this prayer every day.

Morning Prayer is at 8:30 am
Evening Prayer is at 5:00 pm (but not held on Fridays)

4.  Tea On Monday – The next meeting is on 2nd February.  We meet in the church room from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to this social gathering whose aim is to support the isolated in our community.

5.  Saturday 24th January : the first of the First Responder trainings will be held at 10:30 am in the church room.  The second group will be trained on 31st Jan. Thanks to those who have volunteered.

6.  FWO – free will offering envelopes are available for 2015 in the Baptistery.  If you are not part of this planned weekly giving scheme please speak to Anthony Walker or one of the churchwardens.

7.  Week of Prayer for Christian Unity – this year’s service for Headington will be on Sunday 25th January at 3pm in Holy Trinity church, Headington Quarry. The preacher will be the Dean of Christ Church.

8.  Lifts to church – if you are able to offer a lift on a Sunday morning please speak to a churchwarden.

9.  Ideas for music at St. Andrew's :
The musical life at St Andrew's Church is embarking on an exciting new phase. We are looking for singers and musicians of all ages, who would like to be part of our new plans.
Under the leadership of Richard Bennett, the Director of Music at St. Andrew's, we are looking to set up 4 new groups :
A Youth Choir
A Church Choir
The St Andrew's Singers
The St Andrew's Players

10. Community Food Bank -  
Donations can be placed in the boxes outside the church room.  Volunteers are needed to take food to Hollow Way on a Tuesday.  Please speak to Fr Darren or a churchwarden.
