NOTICES :

 

1.  WELCOME TO GUESTS AND VISITORS.  You are invited to come to the altar rail at Communion time and to receive the Priest’s Blessing even if you have not been confirmed.  Just join in with everyone else.  We invite young children to join us there also and to receive God’s blessing.  Our crèche and Young Church are operating during the 10 am service AND we have toys and play-mats set out in the Church Room for babies and the very-young.  Help yourself!

2.  WE INVITE VISITORS AND GUESTS IN THE CONGREGATION TO THE CHURCH ROOM FOR REFRESHMENTS after the 10 am Sunday service.

3.  The Daily Office of the Church is said Monday-Friday in St Andrew’s Church.  All are welcome to come and join in this prayer every day.
Morning Prayer is at 8:30 am
Evening Prayer is at 5:00 pm (but not held on Fridays).

4.  St. Andrew's Boat : The boat will be out in church on 4th and 11th December.  We ask that unwrapped gifts, for all ages, and also toiletries be placed in the boat on these two Sundays.  These will be distributed by the Salvation Army for Christmas.

5.  St. Andrew's School Christmas Craft Fair : Sunday 4th December 11.00 - 2.30. 

6.  Oxford Tinnitus Support Group - next quarterly meeting is on Saturday 10th December at 3pm in the church room. The speaker will be Ellie Mace, Hearing Therapist, JR Hospital.

7.  Friends of St Andrew’s Church Carol Evening – Sunday 11th December at 6pm. Donations of mince pies would be most welcome.


8.   Tea on Monday - The next meeting is on 12th December.  We meet in the Church Room from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to this social gathering whose aim is to support the more isolated in our community.

9.  “Little Fishes” – a pre-school group for children 0-4 years and parents / carers - every Thursday in school term from 9.30 am - 12:00. More information from Natacha Huggett (769023) or Rosemary Bean (764215).

10.  Community Foodbank – Donations can be placed in the boxes outside the church room. The Food Bank welcomes tinned vegetables but not peas, tomatoes or baked beans.
