NOTICES :

 

1.  WELCOME TO GUESTS AND VISITORS.  You are invited to come to the altar rail at Communion time and to receive the Priest’s Blessing even if you have not been confirmed.  Just join in with everyone else.  We invite young children to join us there also and to receive God’s blessing.  Our crèche and Young Church are operating during the 10 am service AND we have toys and play-mats set out in the Church Room for babies and the very-young.  Help yourself!

2.  WE INVITE VISITORS AND GUESTS IN THE CONGREGATION TO THE CHURCH ROOM FOR REFRESHMENTS after the 10 am Sunday service.

3.  The Daily Office of the Church is said Monday-Friday in St Andrew’s Church.  All are welcome to come and join in this prayer every day.
Morning Prayer is at 8:30 am
Evening Prayer is at 5:00 pm (but not held on Fridays).

4.  “Little Fishes” – a pre-school group for children 0-4 years and parents / carers - every Thursday in school term from 9.30 am - 12:00. More information from Natacha Huggett (769023) or Rosemary Bean (764215).

5.  Tea on Monday - The next meeting is on the 6th June (instead of Bank Holiday Monday May 30th).  We meet in the Church Room from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to this social gathering whose aim is to support the more isolated in our community.

7.  DIVINE ANGLICANS
An opportunity to explore the lives and writings of the first “Anglican” thinkers.

8.  Adrienne Siu will be giving a solo piano recital on Sunday, 12 June, from 6 - 7 pm in the Observatory Common Room of Green Templeton College (43 Woodstock Road, OX2 6HG).
She will be playing pieces by Bach, Beethoven, Scriabin, and Louie, followed by refreshments.

9. The 90th birthday of Her Majesty the Queen :
Celebrations will centre on the weekend of 11th & 12th June.
There will be a service in St Andrew’s at 3pm on 12th June.
Parishes are being asked to put on an exhibition of their life over the last 90 years. 
So, if you have photographs or memorabilia of anything from the life of the parish since 1926 please consider loaning it for that weekend.

10.  40th Anniversary of Ordination
Fr Bernard will be celebrating his ruby anniversary of priestly ordination on Saturday 2nd July. 
There will be a Mass in St Andrew’s at 11am followed by a light lunch. Everyone is welcome!

11.  Community Foodbank – Donations can be placed in the boxes outside the church room.
