“The Eucharist”
The material we will use to introduce our exploration of the Eucharist is from a course called “Pilgrim”.
Pilgrim is a teaching and discipleship resource from the Church of England. It aims to help every local church create a place where people can explore the Christian faith together and see how it can be lived out each day. Pilgrim takes a different approach to other Christian programmes. It approaches the great issues of faith not through persuasion, but participation in a pattern of contemplation and discussion with a group of fellow travellers.

8.  The Missions Committee has decided the support the Oxford Children's Hospital (as part of its 10th Anniversary) as our Lent Appeal this year and we ask for your support in doing so.

Their aim for 2017 is to raise £2million to improve and enhance the facilities offered to children looked after by our hospital. Our support will make all the difference.
Our generosity will help to build brand new patients accommodation offering 60 bedrooms for families to stay in while their seriously ill child is in hospital. Also utilising the latest developments in biomedical science to provide more state of the art medical equipment, such as monitors and scanners.
Lent boxes are available for those who would like to give in this way. You may also put a donation in an envelope on the Sunday collection plate (you will find envelopes in church) or via
Justgiving.co.uk/celebrateoxfordchildrenshospital
(if you do give in this way you might like to let the Vicar know so it can be added to our Lenten total).

9.  A LILY FOR A LOVED ONE
Once again this year we will be decorating St Andrew’s with beautiful lilies in celebration of Easter Day.
If you would like to donate the cost of a lily in memory of a departed loved one this would be very much appreciated.
Please put the appropriate money (each lily costs £3) in an envelope, together with your name or name(s) of your loved ones
and hand to Fr Darren, Pauline Hessey or Diana French.
There will also be a basket at the back of church for envelopes. Alternatively, envelopes may be put through the Vicarage letterbox.
The names of loved ones will be included with the anniversaries on Easter Day.
The deadline for payment is Sunday 26th March as the flower order has to be put in the following day.

10.  Walsingham 2017 – the sign-up sheet for this year’s pilgrimage is on the tract table in the centre of church.

11.  Save the Date!
Forthcoming Concerts at St Andrew’s :
13 May 2017 Catriona Scott (Clarinet & Pianist)
17 June 2017 Poppy Beddoe (Clarinet & Quartet)

12. Community Foodbank – Donations can be placed in the boxes outside the church room. The Food Bank welcomes tinned vegetables but not peas, tomatoes or baked beans.
