1.  WELCOME TO GUESTS AND VISITORS.  You are invited to come to the altar rail at Communion time and to receive the Priest’s Blessing even if you have not been confirmed.  Just join in with everyone else.  We invite young children to join us there also and to receive God’s blessing.  Our crèche and Young Church are operating during the 10 am service AND we have toys and play-mats set out in the Church Room for babies and the very-young.  Help yourself!


3.  The Daily Office of the Church is said Monday-Friday in St Andrew’s Church.  All are welcome to come and join in this prayer every day.
Morning Prayer is at 8:30 am
Evening Prayer is at 5:00 pm (but not held on Fridays).

4.  Church tower restoration work :
The scaffolding has now been fully erected for the restoration of the stonework on the church tower. At the same time the clock has been removed for maintenance and regilding. The work is due to be completed in October. During this time access to the church and church room will not be interrupted, and the church will be open as normal during the day.

5.  Mothers Union :
The September Bible Study is on Wednesday 9th September at 2 pm in the Committee Room at All Saints Church, Lime Walk.
Mike Wooldridge is coming to speak on Saturday 12th September in our church room - he is calling his talk 'From my Reporters note book'. This is open to everyone!

6.  Tea on Monday - The next meetings are on 7th and 21st September.  We meet in the Church Room from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to this social gathering whose aim is to support the more isolated in our community.
Access to the church room is unaffected by building works but if you wish to enter by the level access at the west end you must use the side gate to get onto that path.

7.  Trip to Magna Carta Flower Festival “Magna Flora” at Salisbury Cathedral on Friday 18th September.  Details are in the September Norman Arch magazine.

8.  Concert – Saturday 19th September 2015 at 7.30pm – members of the Temple Ensemble will be returning to St Andrew’s to perform the Schubert Octet. The Temple Ensemble is a group of highly talented students from the Royal Academy of Music.

9.  ‘Save the Date’ for an evening of Schubert piano music - 17 October 2015.

10.  Confirmation 2015 – Bishop Colin will be at St Andrew’s on 22nd November to baptise and / or confirm.  Please contact the Vicar if you are interested.

11.  Community Foodbank – donations can be placed in the boxes outside the church room. 





























10.  Chamber Music Concert Saturday 6th June at 7.30pm
Poppy Beddoe and friends from The Royal Academy of Music will be performing Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet plus pieces by Brahms, Stravinsky and Messiaen followed by wine in the Church Room. In aid of the Church Music.


11.  St Andrew’s School Summer Fair – 13th June - the church will be having a stall from 12-3pm for biscuit decorating.  We need biscuits and we need volunteers on the day!  Sign-up sheets are on the central table or speak to Helen Small.

12. Churches Together in Headington Fun Day 11th July – please remember to sign up to help on the day with this event.
