NOTICES :

1. WELCOME TO GUESTS AND VISITORS. You are invited to come to the altar rail at Communion time and to receive the Priest’s Blessing even if you have not been confirmed. Just join in with everyone else. We invite young children to join us there also and to receive God’s blessing. Our crèche and Young Church are operating during the 10 am service AND we have toys and play-mats set out in the Church Room for babies and the very-young. Help yourself!

2. WE INVITE VISITORS AND GUESTS IN THE CONGREGATION TO THE CHURCH ROOM FOR REFRESHMENTS after the 10 am Sunday service.

3. The Daily Office of the Church is said Monday-Friday in St Andrew’s Church. All are welcome to come and join in this prayer every day.
Morning Prayer is at 8:30 am
Evening Prayer is at 5:00 pm (but not held on Fridays)

Art at St Andrew's : Sat 20th May - Monday 29th May, 12 - 6 pm every day
Drop-in Mosaic Workshop on Sundays 21st May and 29th May 1-5 pm (£7.50)

5.  “Little Fishes” – a pre-school group for children 0-4 years and parents / carers - every Thursday in school term from 9.30 am - 12:00. There is no charge. More information from Natacha Huggett (769023).  Please note that the next meeting of "Little Fishes" is on Thursday 8th June, as the room is being used for Artweeks on 25th May and it is school half term holidays on 1st June.

6.  Ascension Day – Thursday May 25th - there will be a Eucharist at St Andrew’s on Thursday at 10am and the Headington parishes will join together at Holy Trinity, Headington Quarry for a Sung Eucharist at 7.30pm.

7.  Churchyard Gardening Work Party on Saturday 3rd June from 10.00 am until 1.00 pm to tackle some of the gardening jobs in the Churchyard. All volunteers are welcome. Please bring tools if possible. Coffee and cake provided! Please sign the list in Church or for more information speak to Helen or Pauline.

8. Tea on Monday - The next meeting is on 5th June. We meet in the Church Room from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to this social gathering whose aim is to support the more isolated in our community.  There is no meeting on 22nd May, due to Artweeks, but refreshments are available there!

7th June : Prof Stephen Payne, University of Bath : Bio Medical Engineer researching strokes and blood flow to the brain
14th June : Prof Robin Ian MacDonald Dunbar, Magdalen College : a British anthropologist and evolutionary psychologist and specialist in primate behaviour
21st June : The Rev Prof Robert Gilbert, Magdalen College biochemist: 'Science and the Truthfulness of Beauty'
28th June : Prof Jenny Butler, Occupational Therapy, Oxford Brookes University : 'Ethics in Practice'
All talks are in in the Church Room, starting at 7.30 pm.

11.  Walsingham 2017 – the sign-up sheet for this year’s pilgrimage is on the tract table in the centre of church.

12. Community Foodbank – Donations can be placed in the boxes outside the church room. The Food Bank welcomes tinned vegetables but not peas, tomatoes or baked beans.
