1. WELCOME TO GUESTS AND VISITORS. You are invited to come to the altar rail at Communion time and to receive the Priest’s Blessing even if you have not been confirmed. Just join in with everyone else. We invite young children to join us there also and to receive God’s blessing. Our crèche and Young Church are operating during the 10 am service AND we have toys and play-mats set out in the Church Room for babies and the very-young. Help yourself!


3. The Daily Office of the Church is said Monday-Friday in St Andrew’s Church. All are welcome to come and join in this prayer every day.
Morning Prayer is at 8:30 am
Evening Prayer is at 5:00 pm (but not held on Fridays)

4.  Faithful Scientists : A series of talks on Wednesday evenings in June.
7th June : Prof Stephen Payne, University of Bath : Bio Medical Engineer researching strokes and blood flow to the brain
14th June : Prof Robin Ian MacDonald Dunbar, Magdalen College : a British anthropologist and evolutionary psychologist and specialist in primate behaviour
21st June : The Rev Prof Robert Gilbert, Magdalen College biochemist: 'Science and the Truthfulness of Beauty'
28th June : Prof Jenny Butler, Occupational Therapy, Oxford Brookes University : 'Ethics in Practice'
All talks are in in the Church Room, starting at 7.30 pm

5.  29th June – Fr Darren celebrates 20 years of priestly ordination on the Feast of Ss Peter & Paul. As it is a Thursday he will preside at the 7.30pm Eucharist and then invites you to join him to raise a glass afterwards.

6. 2017 Friendship Walk Of Faiths - Thursday 29 June. At 5.30pm people assemble at the Jewish Centre, Richmond Road, Jericho; then at 6.15pm walk via St Giles & Radcliffe Square aiming to arrive by 8.15pm at the Central Oxford Mosque, Manzil Way, Cowley. The purpose is to pray and reflect on the way with Oxford’s faith communities and share a meal at the Mosque provided by the Muslim and Jewish Communities. All are welcome to all or part of the Walk.

7.  “Little Fishes” – a pre-school group for children 0-4 years and parents / carers - every Thursday in school term from 9.30 am - 12:00. There is no charge. More information from Natacha Huggett (769023).

8. Tea on Monday - The next meeting is on 3rd July. We meet in the Church Room from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to this social gathering whose aim is to support the more isolated in our community.

9. Headington Summer Fun Day – Saturday 15th July
This is one of the biggest dates in the Headington calendar and it is organised by Churches Together in Headington – a completely free afternoon for the Headington community. We need over 100 helpers. We need a set-up team from 10am-1pm, a clear away team from 5-7pm and of course people to do face painting and many other activities. If you can help please could you sign up today.

10. Community Foodbank – Donations can be placed in the boxes outside the church room. The Food Bank welcomes tinned vegetables but not peas, tomatoes or baked beans.
